Brad McMillan

Brad McMillan, CFA®

Managing Principal, Wealth and Investment Management, and CIO

Brad started at Commonwealth in 2006. As managing principal, chief investment officer, he oversees Commonwealth’s investment and asset management groups, chairing the investment committee and acting as the primary spokesperson for the firm’s investment divisions.

Brad is a frequent commentator on the financial markets, U.S. economic policy, and the global economy for a range of national media outlets. He also acts as a keyconsultant for advisors and clients when markets get difficult. Brad maintains a daily blog, The Independent Market Observer, and is a regular contributor to Forbes. He also is a frequent guest speaker at industry conferences.

Brad’s professional qualifications include designated membership in the CFA Institute. Prior to joining Commonwealth, he founded several companies. He has an undergraduate degree from Dartmouth and graduate degrees from MIT and Boston College

Brian Price

Brian Price, CFA®

Managing Principal, Co-Chief Investment Officer

As co-chief investment officer, Brian is responsible for oversight of the Investment Management and Research team. Primary responsibilities include managing the process for the Commonwealth Mutual Fund Recommended List and ETF Reference Guide. Brian is also responsible for asset allocation, fund selection, and overall management of Commonwealth’s Preferred Portfolio Services® (PPS) Select program.

In addition to holding FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations, Brian is a hartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) charter holder. He graduated from Georgetown University with a BA in American government. Prior to joining Commonwealth, Brian worked at Bernstein Investment Research and Management as a senior financial advisor associate

Chad LaFauci

Chad LaFauci, CFA®, CAIA

Senior Vice President, Alternative Investments

As senior vice president, alternative investments, Chad is responsible for analysis, approval, and ongoing monitoring of all alternative investment products (i.e., private equity, private credit, hedge funds, real estate, infrastructure, and commodities). In addition, he trains and educates Commonwealth advisors through print and
web-based media.

Chad graduated from Bates College with a degree in economics, is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) charter holder, holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation, and holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 securities registrations

Jim McAllister

Jim McAllister, CFA®

Vice President, Equity Research

Jim oversees the Asset Management team, which is responsible for due diligence and portfolio management of the Preferred Portfolio Services® (PPS) Select models. He also manages the PPS Select Equity Separately Managed Accounts (SMA), including Equity Income, Sustainable All-Cap, and Disciplined Growth.

In addition to earning a BS in finance from Lehigh University, Jim is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) charter holder. Prior to joining Commonwealth, Jim was a fundamental equity research analyst for Loomis, Sayles & Co. and a research analyst at State Street Global Advisors in the U.S. active quantitative group

Brian McCormick

Brian McCormick, CIMA®

Director, Investment Management and Research

Brian joined Commonwealth in August 2004 as a member of the Retirement team and joined the Investment Research team in January 2008. In his current role as portfolio manager, Brian helps oversee Commonwealth’s Preferred Portfolio Services® (PPS) Select program and the Commonwealth model portfolios. He also assists with asset allocation, security selection, and ongoing portfolio monitoring. In addition, he is responsible for advisor inquiries related to portfolio construction, asset allocation, and market/economic-oriented issues. Prior to joining Commonwealth, he worked at Signator Financial Network and Putnam Investments. Brian received his BS in management and finance from Quinnipiac University. He obtained the CIMA® designation and is a member of the Investments & Wealth Institute. He also holds FINRA Series 7, 24, and 63 securities registrations. Brian spends most of his free time at hockey rinks, coaching for the Bay State Breakers and Lovell Hockey

Robert Kane

Robert Kane, CAIA

Director, Alternative Investments

As director of alternative investments, Rob facilitates due diligence and research activities on products within alternative financial strategies (i.e., managed futures, hedge funds, private credit, private equity, and structured products).

Rob holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation; FINRA Series 7, 63, and 66 securities registrations; and a certificate in advanced derivative market strategies. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Chris Fasciano

Chris Fasciano

Chief Market Strategist

As chief market strategist, Chris represents Commonwealth in various media appearances, advisor speaking events, and Commonwealth conferences, along with providing written commentary about the economy and markets. He also oversees and mentors a dynamic team of investment research analysts who specialize in equity and fixed income markets. Prior to this role, he spent 10 years helping oversee Commonwealth’s Preferred Portfolio Services® (PPS) Select program and the Commonwealth model portfolios.

Chris earned his degree in economics from Bates College and his MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. He has more than 20 years of experience in small- and mid-cap stock research and managing small- and mid-cap value portfolios for institutional and high-net-worth clients.

Sam Millette

Sam Millette

Director, Fixed Income

With the firm since 2013, Sam has more than a decade of investment management and research experience, with a focus on fixed income investments. As director of the Fixed Income Research team at Commonwealth, Sam’s primary responsibilities include overseeing the team’s initiatives, responding to advisor inquiries, analyzing individual bonds, drafting market research and commentary, and supervising the team’s investment management responsibilities. Sam previously held roles across the team as a fixed income analyst, senior investment research analyst, and manager of fixed income research. In his role, Sam works closely with Commonwealth’s chief market strategist and chief investment officers to craft and shape the firm’s investment strategy and market and economic commentary. Sam graduated from Tufts University with a degree in economics and is a member of the CFA Society Boston. He enjoys spending time with friends and family and exploring Boston. In his free time, he is an avid fan of Boston sports teams and enjoys reading, traveling, and playing guitar.

Andrew Kitchings

Andrew Kitchings, CFA®, CAIA, CMT, ERP, FRM

Manager, Investment Due Diligence

As manager, Andrew helps oversee Commonwealth’s Preferred Portfolio Services® (PPS) Select program and the Commonwealth model portfolios. He also assists with asset allocation, security selection, and ongoing portfolio monitoring.

In addition to holding FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations, Andrew holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®), Chartered Market Technician (CMT), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), Energy Risk Professional (ERP), and Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designations. He is also a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society. Andrew holds dual degrees in economics and history from Emory University and has prior experience in positions at LPL Financial and Bank of America.

Brian Glazer

Brian Glazer, ChFC®

Supervisor, Investment Management and Research Consulting

Brian joined Commonwealth in January 2012 as an investment consultant. In this role, he provided advisors with comprehensive solutions to their investment-related questions and assisted them with mutual funds, ETFs, asset allocation, approved advisory platforms, and overall case design. Prior to joining Commonwealth, Brian worked as an investment specialist at Capital Analysts of New England. He earned his BS from the University of Vermont and his MBA from Suffolk University. Brian holds the FINRA Series 7, 24, and 66 securities registrations, as well as the ChFC® designation.

As supervisor of Investment Management and Research Consulting, he guides the team that provides advisors with comprehensive solutions to their investment-related questions, portfolio analysis, fee-based advisory platforms, and overall client case design. Brian works closely with various departments across Commonwealth, including Advisory Solutions, Research, Business Development, and Transition.
